Privacy policy
Startup Map Hub ("we") provides Falef. This page says what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to remove it.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and your password. The password is stored scrambled, so nobody can read it back.
- Your tasks: the messages you send, the answers you get, the list of moves Falef made (with the addresses of the pages it opened), and screenshots of some pages it read.
- Your voice, if you use the microphone: the audio is streamed to be turned into text. We don't keep the recording.
- Your payments: the email, the pack, the amount, the status and the payment reference. Card details are entered on Paystack's page and never reach us.
- Ordinary technical data: our servers keep the usual logs, such as the time and address of a request.
- How you use our pages: we use FullStory, a session-replay service, to record how people move through the site, signed in or not: what they click, how far they scroll, which buttons they press and how the screen looks. Inside the app, the text of your tasks, Falef's moves and answers, and your email address are hidden from the recording, screenshots are left out of it, and what you type into forms is not recorded. Our admin pages are never recorded. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we don't record you.
Please don't put passwords, card numbers or other secrets into a task.
Why we use it
To do the job you asked for, show you your history, take payment, limit abuse and answer your questions. We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising trackers. The recordings are used only to see where people get stuck and how Falef is being used, so we can fix and improve it.
Who else sees it
- Google. To decide what to do, Falef sends your task and what it sees on each page, as text and, where it helps, images, to Google's Gemini service. If you use the microphone, the audio goes to Google to be transcribed. Google handles that data under its own terms.
- Paystack processes payments. It may process payment data outside the country you live in.
- The websites Falef visits see a visit from our servers, not from your device, and they see what the browser does on their pages.
- FullStory receives the recordings of how you use our pages, with the text of your tasks and answers hidden as described above, and may process them outside the country you live in.
- Our hosting and service providers, who keep the service running for us.
- Anyone the law requires us to tell.
How long we keep it
- Recordings are kept in FullStory for the period set on our account there. They are not linked to your account, and the text of your tasks and answers is hidden in them.
- Screenshots are deleted after 7 days and are visible only to you.
- Your tasks and answers stay until you delete your account, or ask us to remove a task.
- If you delete your account, we delete your tasks and your login. We keep payment records, no longer linked to your account, because we may need them if a payment is ever questioned.
Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and a longer-lasting one if you choose "Keep me signed in". Both are needed for the service to work. There are no advertising cookies. FullStory sets a cookie of its own so that the pages of one visit are kept together.
Your choices
- Delete your account from the Account link in the sidebar. Your tasks, answers and screenshots go with it.
- To see, correct or remove anything else, such as a single task, write to duncan@startupmaphub.com.

If we change this page, the date at the top changes.
